Aaron Zweig - April 2004 On February 25th, 2004 in Hong Kong, a virus called myocarditis attacked seven-year old Aaron Zweig's heart. This was the start of a 50 day long struggle of survival. Thankfully, Aaron beat the virus, but he lost his left leg due to a blood clot along the way to his recovery.

Many people in Hong Kong, and even around the world, know the story of Aaron Zweig. But what many don¡¦t know are Aaron¡¦s continued accomplishments and the fact that he is enjoying a full and rich life.

This website, created by Aaron's sister Rachel in 2005, and updated in 2009, aims to:

¡V give information on the virus myocarditis;
¡V give information on the hospital department, equipment and the doctors who saved his life;
¡V tell the story of Aaron's illness and recovery;
¡V describe the role of our community in Aaron's recovery;
¡V show how Aaron is achieving many great things in his life, especially his Bar Mitzvah on 21 June 2009 and his efforts to raise money for the Children's Heart Foundation and other charities in Hong Kong; and,
¡V promote the Children's Heart Foundation, an organization that aims to save children with heart problems.
